The site is situated to the northwest of Sheffield City Centre. Located between Netherthorpe Road to the north and Well Meadow Street to the south. The site is accessed via Well Meadow Drive and is of irregular shape and sloping from southeast to southwest. Sheffield Train Station is located 1.1 miles to the southeast, which is approximately a 25 minute walk. The site is situated just a short walk to the University of Sheffield, which is located under half a mile to the southwest.

The surrounding area is mostly made up of residential uses with some commercial uses to the east. Adjacent to the subject site is The Tilt Works, a 284 unit Build to Rent scheme by Grainger. Neighbouring that is Century Square, a 305 bed PBSA scheme by IQ.
