The Meadway

JLL are appointed by Birmingham City Council to dispose of up to two acres of brownfield development land at the Meadway, Birmingham, which is suitable for a range of retail, health and/or community uses.

The site is located in the established residential suburb of Lea Hall in East Birmingham (B33 8BF), forming part of a wider 10-acre development site designated for residential uses. The subject site comprises a cleared and levelled development plot, formerly occupied by residential tower blocks and a shopping centre which have now been demolished, leaving the site vacant apart from a small electricity sub-station.

This represents a prime development opportunity within a comprehensive regeneration scheme. An earlier phase successfully delivered residential development to the south of Bridgnorth Road and renovated Kents Moat recreation ground. This second and final phase will complete the area's transformation with further residential development opposite and retail, health or community facilities within the disposal site.

The subject site fronts the Meadway (B4128) with vehicular access via an adopted service road from Holbeach Road. The Meadway is a main arterial route from East Birmingham into the City Centre and benefits from excellent public transport connectivity throughout the metropolitan area.
